So over at the OceansidePost.com, I made a video series on Team Oceanside just before they took off on their Race Across America.
Meeting these people has been incredible.
Such positivity, high energy and camaraderie! I am SO excited to have befriended them and see their journey across the States through Facebook.
They're racing for the Children's Center of LA.

All videos were shot on the Canon C100. I really need a Zacuto viewfinder! The California Sun is seriously throwing me off with the flip out monitor! Haha. But it's been incredibly fun filming them. I've been trying to break my "perfectionist" tendencies and learn to just have fun with shooting again. There was very few expectations (and planning) before we shot the first video. I showed up with camera in hand and had a vague idea of "meeting the team" and using freeze frames. It turned out pretty fun!
I also don't have a lot of accessories so no shoulder rig. Just honest, fun, rough handheld! Loved it.
We did it again with the second video and it was much cleaner since it was my second time around.
The editing was also incredibly fast for all the videos. I spent about 1 hour on the "Meet the Crew" video and then another 30 mins of exporting, compressing and uploading to Youtube.
All-in-all, a pretty fun mini-series on an incredible group of people!
