Angela Wong is a (proudly) Chinese-American, female, LGBTQ entrepreneur, filmmaker, and photographer.
Angela started her video production company, Start to Finish Media, back in 2018 with the goal of making amazing marketing content for brands and businesses; while also prioritizing women and diversity in front of and behind the camera.
Brands that she has worked with include STM Goods, H&R Block, Keep A Breast, My Computer Career, Zumiez, and many more.
Angela is a strong believer in equality, fairness, and empathetic leadership after experiencing a great deal of sexism in the film/video industry.
There's nothing more dangerous than someone who wants to make the world a better place.” -Banksy
“At one of my first jobs, I was always stuck assisting a male camera op.
Even after months of training with them and learning the gear and how they like to run things, I still wasn’t working on my own shoots.
It wasn’t until an older female reporter spoke up for me. She was producing a project and the usual male camera op wasn’t available so she insisted that I go. After some hemming and hawing from my male boss, he finally agreed.
My very first filming gig was with her. By the time I left that job, I had produced an hour long documentary for the company and it won an award for journalism.
In essence, I just needed someone to give me that chance.
Today, I’m paying it forward. I want to give women and minorities the opportunity to work in the film/video industry. I want to give them the opportunity to show the world their style and POV to the world with film.

Prizefighter / 2012
The 2012 Olympics featured women's boxing for the first time in its history, as the world's most renowned female boxers competed in front of a global audience. But this isn't Prizefighter. In the forgotten neighborhoods of Brooklyn, New York stands Heather "the Heat" Hardy. Still in the amateur league, Heather struggles to make ends meet for her and her daughter, Annie while training countless hours at Brooklyn's iconic Gleason's gym to become the next world boxing champion. Prizefighter is a short film (with a "direct cinema" style) that chronicles Heather's daily struggle, leading up to a championship match at the Metropolitan Championships in Queens, New York.
